“Here is a fine view of the Williamson County Court House, made possible for the first time, due to the fire on May 6 which destroyed the Cox Building and other buildings on the south side of the square.
Always before, other buildings on the square have prevented a picture of this type, except when made from the air. The picture also shows the improvement made to the courthouse by the recent sandblasting and tuck-pointing.
The Telephone Company’s (GTE) aerial tower for long distance phone calls is visible in rear of the Hotel State building on the left side of the picture. This tower is in rear of the new Marion telephone exchange building, on West Union Street.”
