The New Process Laundry does not appear to be a long lived business. Very little has been found on the business other than it appears to have functioned right at the turn of the century and was still functional during the writing of the 1905 Souvenir History book when information was gathered together in 1904.
The building shown in the picture is an old site that was also used by the Marion Bottling Company located at 1003 S. Court Street next to the old C & EI RR tracks where they cross Boyton Street. This is where the wallpaper store is currently located in 2013 and where the original Pepsi bottling plant was at.
At one point the old bottling building appears to have been used by the Coal Belt Bottling Company to brew their original Iron Brew drink.
There is however, no listing of the laundry in the 1906 business directory or afterward that has been found, so its demise appears to be 1905.
